food is fuel for you body.  For optimum performance choose high-octane fuel.  Think of food as two groups: types and sources.  Types:  proteins, carbs, and fats.   Sources:  bad, good and optimum.  Blending carbs and fats from optimum sources results in high-octane, quick recovery fuel for meet days.  Eating a lot of protein is good on practice days and after your wrestling is done for the day because the body needs those proteins to recover and rebuild.  Always eat and drink at every mealtime.  Take weigh off by reducing portions and working hard at practice.  Avoid getting into the habit of eating a lot after weighing in.  Keep your stomach small by eating small portions more often than eating one big portion.
